STOP in the name of... photography! (Had you singing that Diana Ross and the Supremes song in your head for just a second didn't I?) Well, that's what this assignment was all about - stopping and really seeing our surroundings. Hearing the music of the world around us and capturing moments we might have missed at our usual mile-a-minute pace. This is ... Being Willam Eggleston. REFLECTION: Quite literally in some of these photos does reflection play a role but the real excitement of this assignment was slowing down and really seeing the three-block radius of Harvard Square that I traverse so frequently. Did I ever see the lake-like reflection on the lower deck sunroof of the Longfellow restaurant? No. Did I ever look closely in the windows of the shuttered shops on my path? No. Or did I see the shapes and beauty in the seemingly mundane and ordinary? Maybe ... but I never took the time to REALLY see and photograph them. As the title image says... enjoy.
